GO WILDCATS Wildcat coach Bill Snyder
Wildcat coach Bill Snyder

Feb. 5, 2003

MANHATTAN, Kan. - Kansas State head football coach Bill Snyder announced Wednesday the list of 19 student-athletes who have committed to be part of the program next fall. The list includes six community-college transfer students, one transfer from a four-year institution, four freshmen who have begun their first full-time semesters in Spring 2003 and 12 incoming freshmen.

"Although not meeting every need, we did address the most immediate personnel concerns going into the 2003 season," said Snyder. "We are impressed with the versatility of several of these athletes who are very capable of playing on either side of the ball. We are equally impressed with the apparent speed and quickness at virtually every position."

Snyder noted that six athletes have posted 40-yard dash times of 4.4 seconds or better and 12 have run 4.6 or better.

NCAA rules do not allow the release of two additional commitments who will be mid-term enrollees in Spring 2004, as well as several young men who have chosen to walk-on at Kansas State.
