A hard-nosed defensive end that saw time a year ago as a reserve and will look to move up the depth chart.

2010: A junior-college walk on who saw time in five games, including three appearances in the first five games... Registered a career high six stops, including four solos, at Kansas... Also had two tackles against Missouri State... Totaled eight tackles on the year.

JUNIOR COLLEGE: A two-year player who helped Butler Community College obtain back-to-back top-10 rankings, including a No. 1 ranking in 2008... Played in nine games as a reserve defensive end in 2008, recording one tackle... Moved to tight end for his sophomore campaign, hauling in seven passes for 118 yards - including a long of 36 - and one touchdown.

HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Newton High School as a defensive end and wide receiver under head coach Brent Glann... Named an all-state defensive end and participated in the 2008 Kansas Shrine Bowl... Was also an honorable mention all-state selection in basketball, while setting school records in the shot put and discus.
