Taylor Braet enters his 10th year at Kansas State, his fifth as a quality control assistant for special teams and his third as the Director of Recruiting Operations.

Braet came to K-State as a student assistant coach in 2006 working with the defense and special teams and continues to help in those areas as a quality control assistant.

Prior to his stint in Manhattan, Braet was a student assistant at Butler Community College under his father, associate head coach Steve Braet, and head coach Troy Morrell. Braet worked with the linebackers during the Grizzlies’ 2003 National Championship run, while he helped with the defensive ends in 2004 and 2005 as Butler won conference championships all three seasons.

Born and raised in Wichita, Kansas, Braet graduated from Wichita Heights High School in 2003 and went through spring practices at Butler until an injury ended his career and he began his coaching career. He is married to the former Leah Ost.
