2001 (Sophomore) - Saw action in five games on the defensive line, all starts at defensive end... Started five of the Wildcats' last six games... One of three players to start at defensive end on the season... Made the most of his five games of duty, totaling 30 total tackles, including 14 solo stops... Credited with five TFLs for 19 yards... Totaled one sack for 11 yards... Collected four QBHs and two PBUs... One of just six Wildcats to post double-digit tackles in a game with his team-high 10 stops against archrival Kansas (10/27)... Turned in seven tackles and one PBU in his first action of the season against Texas A&M (10/20)... Earned a pair of TFLs for 16 yards, including his first career sack, against Kansas to go with a season-best six solo stops... Forced his first fumble at Iowa State (11/3)... Had six tackles and a QBH at Nebraska (11/10)... Ended the regular season on an impressive note against Missouri (11/24) with six tackles, including two TFLs, one QBH and one PBU.

1999 - Redshirt season ... Overachiever Award winner with Terry Pierce for work done in strength and conditioning while redshirting.

Webb City HS - Helped Cardinals to 14-0 record and state title in 1997... Was a two-year starter and three-year letterwinner... All-Area pick by the Joplin Globe in 1997 and 1998... All-district, All-Southwest Conference and All-Ozarks pick in 1997 and 1998... All-State pick at defensive end in 1997 and 1998... 1998 winner of the Grant Wistrom Defensive MVP award... 1998 Mark Smith Award as team MVP... SuperPrep All-Midlands and All-America selection... Rated as the No. 3 strongside defensive end prospect in the Big 12 region by the National Recruiting Advisor... Earned All-America status from PrepStar as one of the top 10 defensive ends in the Big 12 region... In 1998, he totaled 120 tackles, 12 sacks, nine quarterback hurries and 17 tackles for loss... Career numbers total 251 tackles, 20 sacks, 18 hurries, one interception and 38 tackles for loss... Best game came when he had 15 tackles, five sacks, two passes knocked down and two hurries... Finished 1997 with 122 tackles, including eight QB sacks and 20 tackles for loss... Also caught nine passes for 170 yards and five TDs as a junior...
