Fourth on the squad with 49 solo tackles and second with 19 assisted tackles... Ranked second behind Ben Leber in TFLs with 11 on the season for 26 yards... MOST IMPROVED DEFENSIVE PLAYER by K-State coaches... Finished 11th on team in tackles with 39... Also had 26 solo stops... Played in 13 of Wildcats' 14 games, including the Cotton Bowl... Third team All-State pick by the Texas Sportswriters Association... Team MVP as a sophomore, junior and senior... SuperPrep All-Southwest Region... Member of the Dallas Morning News Top 100 for Texas... PrepStar All-Big 12 Region pick... Had 93 solo, 41 assisted tackles, 10 tackles for losses of 134 yards, three interceptions (one for touchdown), one safety, one forced fumble and one recovery in 1998... Had three 20-tackle games as a senior... Averaged more than 14 tackles per game throughout his high school career... Labeled as the "Most-Feared" Defensive Player in District 9-4A as a senior... Bowl Performances - Credited with three solo tackles in Wildcats' 35-21 win over Tennessee in 2001 Southwestern Bell Cotton Bowl Classic... tallied 10 tackles, including five solo stops, vs. Syracuse in the 2001 Insight.com Bowl... also recorded three tackles for loss (-11 yards), including a pair of sacks (-9 yards), vs. the Orangemen.
