One of just two offensive linemen to start all 11 games (Andy Eby) and the only lineman to start all 11 games at the same position... 2000 (Freshman) - First true freshman to play on the offensive line at Kansas State in the Bill Snyder era... Played nine games on an offensive line that allowed only nine sacks all season and blocked for a running game which tied the school record with 42 rushing touchdowns... Started two games at left guard in place of Andy Eby (Oklahoma 10/14, Texas Tech 10/21)... One of two true freshmen on the 2000 depth chart along with punter/kicker Jared Brite.
Grapevine HS - Was a three-year starter for the Mustangs, helping Grapevine to state titles in 1996 and 1998... First team All-District in 1998 and 1999... First team All-Tarrant County in 1999... Honorable mention All-State in 1999... SuperPrep All-Southwest Region pick... One of Texas and Area top 100 recruits by Dallas Morning News and Fort Worth Star-Telegram...
