MANHATTAN, Kan. - Student tickets for the Wichita Wildcat Classic between K-State and Gonzaga on Saturday, Dec. 21 at INTRUST Bank Arena will go on sale Monday, Nov. 4 at $10 per ticket.
K-State students holding ICAT season passes will have first opportunity to purchase tickets beginning at 8:30 a.m., Nov. 4, at the Athletics Ticket Office in Bramlage Coliseum. Students with GA Combo season passes may purchase tickets beginning Tuesday, Nov. 5. All other K-State students, including general admission football only pass holders, may purchase tickets on Wednesday, Nov. 6. All purchases must be done in-person at the ticket office with a valid student ID.
Students who purchase a ticket to the Wichita Wildcat Classic will receive a make-up point towards their early entry point total, which encourages student attendance at all home games while creating a priority system for game-day lineup procedures for the Kansas game on Feb. 10. Both K-State and Gonzaga are coming off impressive 2012-13 seasons with each winning their respective regular season conference titles and advancing to the NCAA Tournament. K-State posted a 27-8 overall record and 14-4 mark in league play en route to its first-ever Big 12 regular season championship and a fourth consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament. Gonzaga, which earned its first-ever No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament, recorded a 32-3 overall record and won the West Coast Conference (WCC) regular season title with a perfect 16-0 mark.
Tickets for the Wichita Wildcat Classic are on sale now and start at $12. Complete prices are $200 for courtside, $150 for lower-level VIP, $75 for lower-level midcourt, $35 for lower-level ends and upper-level midcourt, $20 for upper-level corners and $12 for upper-level ends. The courtside and lower-level VIP packages also include access to a pre-game lounge. K-State men's basketball opens its 2013-14 campaign on Friday, Nov. 1 in an exhibition game with Pittsburg State at 8 p.m., while the season opener with Northern Colorado is set for Friday, Nov. 8 at 8 p.m.
Fans also won't want to miss Madness in Manhattan on Friday beginning at 8:30 p.m., with doors to Bramlage Coliseum opening at 8 p.m. The event is free to the public and, in addition to performances by the K-State pep band, Willie Wildcat and the Classy Cats, there will be a skills competition and scrimmages by both basketball teams.
