Apart of the winningest senior class in K-State history with 96 wins... Along with Victor Ojeleye, Samuels helped the Wildcats to a 96-42 record in their 4-year career... Also missed the first two games of the season (as well as exhibition) due to violation of team rules... Registered double-digit minutes in all 30 games... As A Freshman (2007-08): Was redshirt as a freshman after joining the squad on Dec. 26... Originally signed with the program but did not join the squad until Dec. 26 after completing the academic requirements... Was a walk-on before going on scholarship in 2008-09... Coached by Frank Martin.
High School: A one-year letterman at The Patterson School in Lenoir, N.C. ... Helped the Bulldogs to a 36-4 record and No. 3 national prep school ranking in 2006-07... The squad advanced to the inaugural Prep School National Championship, where they lost in the semifinals to eventual champion Notre Dame (Mass.) Prep led by Michael Beasley... One of the first players off the bench for the prep school squad... Also played in nine games with eight starts for the high school team... Averaged a team-leading 18.0 points and 11.0 rebounds for the high school squad... Transferred to The Patterson School after playing two seasons at Archbishop Carroll High School in Washington, D.C. ...
