RJ Santigate went 1-for-2 with a walk and hit by pitch, helping him extended his hitting streak to eight games. He also extended his on-base streak to 10 games. Both streaks are the longest active streaks on K-State.

 

Over his eight-game hitting streak, Santigate is batting .387 (12-for-31) with five walks, six stolen bases, and a .500 OBP.

 

Since driving in a run in the final game of the series at Texas Tech, Max Brown is batting .417 (10-for-24) with six RBI in his last eight games (seven starts). He went 1-for-3 on Friday, his seventh straight start.

 

Alex Bee, who entered the game as a pinch hitter in the seventh inning, drew a walk in his second at-bat to give him a career-high 10 walks on the season. The sophomore catcher has reached base safely in 12 of his 13 games this season.

 

Shane Conlon went 1-for-3 on Friday as the junior is now batting .462 (6-for-13) in his last three games. Conlon has at least one hit in nine of his last 11 games.

 

The K-State bullpen – consisting of Braxton Wilks and Jon Roblez on Friday – allowed one run in 2 2/3 innings against West Virginia. In the last six games, the Wildcat bullpen has a 2.18 ERA (5er, 20.2ip), 18 strikeouts and six walks.

 

K-State has lost five straight road games and six of its last seven road games in Big 12 play this season. The Wildcats’ last road win was on April 9 at Nebraska.
