MANHATTAN, Kan. - After a strong 2011 campaign, the Kansas State women's cross country team was rewarded for its efforts in the classroom by being named an USTFCCCA All-Academic Team.
The women's team was one of 205 schools from 30 conferences to earn the distinction with a team GPA of 3.49. The women's team made the All-Academic team last year. Seven other Big 12 schools made the team.
Sarah Swenson and Boglarka Bozzay earned first team Academic All-Big 12 honors this season while Laura Lee Baird placed on the second team.
To qualify as a USTFCCCA All-Academic Cross Country Team, the team must have had a cumulative team GPA of 3.00 or better and have started at least five runners at their respective NCAA regional championship.
