MANHATTAN, Kan. – The K-State Athletics Department will hold a media conference with Olympic silver medalist Erik Kynard at 1:30 p.m. Thursday as the two-time NCAA champion will be available to answer questions from members in the Bramlage Coliseum interview room located in the south tunnel.

The media conference will be streamed live on K-StateHD.TV.
Kynard is the first current or former Wildcat to earn a medal since 2004 when Austra Skujyte took silver in the heptathlon for Lithuania. He also is the first American male to medal in the high jump since 2004.
After returning to the states following the games, Kynard has appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman and attended a parade in his honor in his hometown of Toledo, Ohio, where he was awarded a key to the city. He also was on NBC’s Today Show in London the morning after his silver medal performance.
