ASSISTANT COORDINATOR OF HOSPITALITY AND EVENTS
This position will be the point-of-contact for all K-State Athletics donors with premium seating and attending athletics events at K-State venues; provide excellent customer service through the successful development and implementation of a hospitality program; maintain positive relationships and act as a good-will ambassador with major donors at K-State athletics and special events; will interview, hire, train, schedule and supervise game day hospitality workers; oversee the Game Day Hospitality Program, which includes game day food and drink budget oversight; coordinate food and drink orders with Sodexo; assist with development of Premium Seating Policy Guidelines; and assist the Coordinator of Hospitality and Events with all other hospitality and department special events (non-game/contest), as well as public events in KSA venues as required.
Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree; one to two years of successful professional experience in providing hospitality to event customers and event planning, providing excellent customer service, and interviewing, hiring, training, supervising and evaluating employees; strong computer and organizational skills; excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office programs; must be able to demonstrate proficiency in strategic oral and written communications; be able to work with KSA employees, University departments and organizations, and public customers in a positive and helpful manner at all times; must be detail-oriented, dependable, know how to prioritize, and possess the ability to successfully multi-task; must have a valid driver's license at all times; and be able to work evenings and weekends as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Three or more years of experience in athletic game day event hospitality and experience interviewing, hiring, training, supervising and evaluating employees.

FACILITY CUSTODIAN
A local agency, full-time, $10.68/hr position that provides routine cleaning services and supervises a crew of student and/or part-time employees involved with daily cleaning and supportive custodial services for K-State Athletics facilities and events, which includes but is not limited to overseeing and assuring quality control for a custodial crew performing daily cleaning and custodial and event support services for offices, restrooms, lobbies, locker rooms, and all daily and event use areas of various facilities of the KSU Sports Complex.
Required Qualifications:
Experience operating various types of equipment to include but not limited to upright vacuums, auto floor scrubbers, ultra high speed burnishers, low speed buffers, pressure washers, wet/dry vacuums, carpet extractors, trucks and utility vehicles (gators); must have knowledge of a wide variety of cleaning chemicals, their uses/purposes, mixes and safety requirements; must be able to understand MSDS sheets for all chemicals to avoid injury to self, others and equipment; must be able to work without direct supervision and be able to be flexible as daily tasks may be interrupted by unexpected events being added to the day; must be able to read, write and follow written and oral instructions in English; and must be able to remove snow and ice from outside entryways. Other requirements: must be able to withstand moderate physical exertion to transport equipment, including items of considerable weight, unassisted, on a repetitive basis daily; be able to withstand the strain of working long hours at custodial tasks and work inside and outside under varying work and climatic conditions; must possess a valid driver's license at all times and be available to work overtime in the evenings or on weekends as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience performing custodial tasks in a commercial setting requiring specific sanitation procedures, ability to read and follow directions on various types of equipment and cleaning chemicals, ability to write in English, learn the safe operation of a wide variety of commercial janitorial equipment, and ability to understand/follow explicit instructions in English.

LIFE SKILLS DIRECTOR
The duties of this position include but are not limited to developing and implementing a comprehensive Life Skills Program for all student-athletes, including personal development and leadership activities, as well as new student orientation programs; serve as liaison to the sport program coaches in order to identify programming needs for individuals or teams; expand the Career Cat Development Program; provide oversight for the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee; participate in official and unofficial recruit visit process; and successfully organize and execute events and reception such as graduation receptions and orientations. Evening and weekend hours required.
Required Qualifications:
Master's Degree in counseling, student development, college student development or related field in education or academic principles; previous experience in administration of a Life Skills Program or career counseling with student-athletes; experience in intercollegiate athletics and direct work with culturally diverse student-athlete population; experience and success in counseling student-athletes; and excellent oral and written communication, organizational, interpersonal and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience and success in the organization and execution of receptions and events; and experience in the recruitment process of NCAA Division I student-athletes.
