Manhattan, Kan. - As Kansas State University fans, alumni and friends prepare to enjoy the fall football season, K-State Athletics and the K-State Alumni Association have joined forces to announce an exciting new service: the K-State Private TicketBoard.

The service - which enables K-State season ticket holders and Alumni Association members to connect with other K-State Alumni and ticket holders looking to buy or sell athletic event tickets - is provided by E-TicketBoard, Inc., a Columbia, S.C.-based technology firm specializing in the creation of revenue-sharing software applications for the secondary online ticket marketplace.

"As demand has increased for all of our tickets, we have sought a means utilizing emerging technologies to improve our service to our fans," said Bob Cavello, associate athletics director for businessoperations at Kansas State University. "This new medium will enable us to provide a ticketing solution to our fans that did not exist in the past."

The K-State Private TicketBoard enables K-State athletic ticket holders and Alumni Association members to share tickets privately across a nationwide network; minimizing scalping, facilitating donations and providing a revenue stream back to the school.

In addition to buying and selling K-State tickets online, members and season ticket holders who join the K-State Private TicketBoard are also able to post buy and sell requests on E-TicketBoard's main site, www.e-ticketboard.com, which includes TicketBoards for over 15,000 live events across the country. Access to the K-State Private TicketBoard is restricted to athletic ticket holders and members of the K-State Alumni Association.

"We are excited to be able to offer our members a new service while supporting K-State athletics," said Courtney Marshall, director of member services for the K-State Alumni Association.

Founded in 1998, E-TicketBoard specializes in developing software solutions that allow university foundations, alumni associations and other organizations to realize charitable contributions through the resale of live event tickets that would otherwise go unused.
