Weiser to Receive Award from AAFF

MANHATTAN, Kan. - Kansas State Athletics Director Tim Weiser will be among the honorees on Friday, June 14, at the All-American Football Foundation's Banquet of Champion XXXXII at the Dallas Hyatt Regency Hotel.

Weiser will receive the General Robert R. Neyland Outstanding Athletic Director Award from the AAFF. He will be one of a number of award winners to be honored by the foundation in categories ranging from coaching to college presidents to sports writers to athletic trainers.

Among the college football players to be honored are Lee Roy Jordan, Billy Ray Smith, Ernie Stautner, Weldom Humble, Lewis "Bud" McFadin and J.D. Kimmel. Britton Bankowsky of the Big 12 Conference is being honored as the Outstanding Associate Commissioner.

Weiser has been the director of athletics for Kansas State since May 2001.
